Boom Duel (“the game”) is a turn-based artillery game for Android and iOS. This policy explains what information the game collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

When you play offline (campaign, Vs CPU, Pass & Play), your progress, coins, stars, settings and unlocked items are stored on your device only.

When you play online, the game creates a guest account on our game server using an identifier generated for your device. The server stores:

  • your display name (which you can change) and your rating, wins and losses, visible to other players;
  • your online matches: moves, results and timestamps;
  • a record of purchases you make, to verify them and restore them.

If you sign in (optional, from Settings) with Sign in with Apple or Google Play Games, we receive an identifier for your Apple ID or Play Games profile from Apple or Google, to link your account and restore it on another device. We don’t ask for your name or email. While signed in, a copy of your game progress (stars, coins, unlocked items and whether you removed ads) is stored on our server.

Advertising. The game shows ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect your device’s advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about ad interactions, to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and some US states), you’re asked for consent before personalised ads, and you can change your choice later in Settings > Privacy. On iOS, the game asks for permission before using your advertising identifier for tracking. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps.

Notifications. If you allow notifications, your device gets a push token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (on iPhone, through Apple’s push service). Our server stores it with your account to tell you when it’s your turn or a match ends. Turn them off any time in Settings or in your phone’s settings. See Firebase’s privacy information.

Purchases. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never see your payment details. We receive a purchase receipt, which our server sends to Google or Apple to confirm before giving you the item.

Analytics. The game sends gameplay events (for example level started or completed, match results, coins earned and spent, purchases and ad views), along with device model, operating system, app version, a device identifier and performance information, to GameAnalytics to help us improve the game. See GameAnalytics’ privacy policy.

We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location, and the game has no chat.

How we use it

To run online matches, to show your name and rating to opponents, to verify and restore purchases, to show and measure ads, to understand how the game is played and fix problems, and to prevent cheating and fraud.

Sharing

We share information only with the services listed above (Google AdMob, Google Play, Google Play Games, Google Firebase, Apple, GameAnalytics) and with the company hosting our game server, which processes data on our behalf. We don’t sell your personal information.

Retention and deletion

Online account data is kept while your account is active. Finished matches may be kept for up to 12 months.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the game from Settings → Delete account; the steps and what gets deleted are on Delete your Boom Duel account. If you can’t open the game, email support@quarterpi.com with the subject “Delete my Boom Duel account” and tell us your display name (shown in the game’s Online screen). If you signed in with Apple or Google Play Games, say which. We’ll confirm and delete the account within 30 days. Records we must keep by law (for example for tax on purchases) are kept only as long as required. Uninstalling the game removes data stored on your device.

Children

Boom Duel is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the online features, contact us and we’ll delete the data.

Security

Information sent between the game and our server is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Contact support@quarterpi.com to use them. If you are in the EEA or UK: we process online-play and purchase data to perform our contract with you, personalised advertising only with your consent, and analytics and fraud prevention on the basis of our legitimate interests. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

We’ll update this policy when the game changes and show the new effective date above.
